Islamabad – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), interacted with notables and political leadership of Balochistan.

During the interaction, COAS & CDF underscored that the present and future of Balochistan and Pakistan are one and forever, notes a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.

He highlighted that Balochistan is blessed with talented, resilient, patriotic and proud individuals. He emphasised that clear national narrative and enduring peace and stability are fundamental to unlocking the province's true economic potential, attracting investment and translating its abundant human and natural resources into tangible prosperity for its individuals. The Field Marshal stressed that there is no dearth of talent or opportunities amongst the youth of Balochistan. This person remain the most vibrant and promising segment of our society. He emphasised that empowering the youth and providing them opportunities to contribute to national progress remains central to sustainable development.

According to COAS & CDF, fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan are foreign- proxies being employed by hostile elements to destabilise Balochistan, obstruct its development and create a wedge between the state and its individuals. He reiterated that these inimical designs will be defeated through the collective resolve of the nation and an unwavering, resolute and decisive response by the state.

Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated the role of the notables and society leaders of Balochistan in promoting peace, strengthening social cohesion and advancing a constructive national discourse. He emphasised the need to holistically and without hesitation counter hostile propaganda, expose false narratives and project the true potential, progress and aspirations of Balochistan and its individuals. He underscored that the destiny of Balochistan rests only in the hands of the individuals of Balochistan.

Meanwhile, the notables and participants reaffirmed their commitment to peace, development and prosperity of Balochistan and Pakistan. They resolved to stand shoulder to shoulder with the State and Armed Forces against all foreign threats to the peace and stability. They expressed their firm resolve to contribute towards individuals centric development leading towards peaceful, stable and prosperous Balochistan where only truth shall prevail and inimical forces narrative is buried in its own propaganda and fakery.

Additionally, a high-level defence delegation of the Democratic Republic of Congo, headed by Lieutenant General Banza Mwilambwe Jules, Chief of Defence of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.

During the session, matters of mutual interest, regional security environment and avenues for enhanced bilateral defence and security cooperation were discussed. Both dignitaries expressed satisfaction over the longstanding cordial relations between Pakistan and Democratic Republic of Congo. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed which intends at broadening and strengthening defence and security cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier, Lieutenant General Banza Mwilambwe Jules, additionally called on Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of the Air Staff.

Notably, the visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism, operational capabilities and unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces of Pakistan towards maintaining peace and stability in the region and acknowledged the significant progress achieved through indigenization and self-reliance.

Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further deepening defence collaboration and strategic engagement with Malaysia.
