ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Imran Khan's sister, Noreen Niazi, met him at Adiala jail on Tuesday for the second consecutive week, in line with the Supreme Court's (SC) directions.

In response to Imran's petition filed in May, the SC on August 18 ruled that meetings should be facilitated between the prisoner and his family members once a week. The court had additionally directed that the administration would facilitate the prisoner in speaking to his sons by telephone twice a week.

After the SC's directions, Imran's family reassured the court that they would not speak to the media.

"The other two sisters were waiting in the vehicle. When Noreen Niazi came out of the jail, all the sisters left without speaking to the media, " he remarked.
