The Defence Ministry has launched the sixth indigensition list containing 405 items which will only be sourced from Indian suppliers. While 389 are associated with Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs).

Sixth Positive Indigenisation List covers key defence platforms

The items included in the latest PIL span a broad set of defence platforms and systems, the list includes components, sub-systems, sub-assemblies, spares, Line Replaceable Units and raw materials that will be indigenised and subsequently procured from Indian industry.

Of the 405 items, 16 belong to the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). These include air platforms such as the Advanced Light Helicopter, Light Utility Helicopter, Su-30MKI, Light Combat Aircraft and AL-31FP Engine.
