At least 27 dead and hundreds evacuated after strikes near Kyiv

Twenty-seven individuals have been killed in an overnight drone strike on the Kyiv region, its governor has confirmed.

Search and rescue operations were ongoing early on Saturday as emergency services inspected buildings for damage.

Tkachenko afterwards went on that a 14-year-old was killed in a separate attack in the Boryspil district. "This is yet another victim of Russian terror, " he remarked.

"Ukraine cannot be alone in finding solutions to protect against such strikes, and I thank everyone who helps with additional support packages and sanctions against Russia, " he wrote on Telegram.
