Samsung is still rolling out One UI 9, but early builds of One UI 9.5 are already revealing what could be a noticeably more polished Galaxy experience.
A new leak from an internal build shows significantly smoother app opening and closing animations, along with redesigned fingerprint enrollment, camera interface changes, new home-screen search options, and easier app mirroring to Windows PCs.
Animations Get a Major Upgrade
One of the biggest improvements appears to be animation smoothness.
Leaked footage shows apps opening and closing with more fluid transitions throughout the home screen. According to the source, these improvements work out of the box and do not require Samsung’s Good Lock customization tools.
The build being tested is still very early. It means Samsung could continue refining the animations before One UI 9.5 reaches users.
Usually couldn’t care less about app opening/closing benchmarks, but One UI 9.5 is an absolute joy to apply.
The animations all across the UI are ridiculously smooth (By Samsung’s Standards). 🤌🔥
And this is only the second internal build…

Fingerprint Setup Gets a Fresh Look
Samsung has also redesigned parts of the fingerprint enrollment experience.
The screen used when registering a fingerprint now features updated graphics and animations, giving the setup process a more modern appearance.
The change is mostly visual, with no indication yet that Samsung is altering how the fingerprint sensor itself works.
Camera App Gets More Polish
The stock Camera app is receiving several smaller design refinements.
While spacing and padding have been adjusted, quick-setting menus now appear inside more rounded containers. Pop-up menus use a more subtle background blur, and icons have been resized to better fit the redesigned controls.
Samsung has also reworked some of the Camera app’s animations, continuing the wider push toward a smoother interface.
One UI 9.5 internal build CZH9 on S26 Base camera animations:
• Native 24MP toggle directly on the base model.
• New spring physics on sub-menu expansions and tooltip pop-ins
Here’s the animation behavior in action.

New Search Options
Samsung introduced these home-screen options with the Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8 running One UI 9. The leaked One UI 9.5 build for the Galaxy S26 series suggests the feature could now expand to older compatible devices.
Easier PC Mirroring
The current implementation appears to require the phone and PC to use the same Samsung Account. Although the exact hardware requirements have not yet been confirmed, reports suggest the feature may work most closely with Galaxy Book laptops.
One UI 9.5 is still under development and has not been officially announced. Current firmware leaks indicate that it is expected to debut with the Galaxy S27 series in early 2027 before expanding to other backed Galaxy devices.
