CM Afridi remarked the province should receive its constitutional share from its hydropower and other natural resources, noting that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa plays a major role in gathering Pakistan's energy requirements.

According to the briefing, the province supplies more than 70% of the country's total hydropower generation to the national grid. Nevertheless, the absence of a provincial transmission network has forced KP to sell its electricity through the existing system.

Notably, the chief minister directed authorities to present the provincial transmission line project at an investors' conference.
