NexGen Auto Pvt. Ltd. Has clarified that revised rates circulating on social media for its OMODA and JAECOO vehicles are unauthentic and should not be treated as official.

NexGen remarked it will announce revised costs once there is clarity on the new Auto Policy. The firm went on that any cost revision or related information will be communicated only through an official notification and its verified social media platforms.

Notably, the clarification comes after an earlier NexGen circular to dealers outlined revised pricing for the Jaecoo J5 after the government's rise in the sales tax rate on hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) to 25%.

That circular listed the Jaecoo J5 Comfort at Rs. 7, 799, 000, compared with the previously listed Rs. 6, 699, 000, and the J5 Premium at Rs. 8, 799, 000, compared with Rs. 7, 699, 000.
