Every Fertilizer Company’s Urea Sales Fell in August—Except One

Pakistan's urea sales dropped 14 percent year on year in August 2026, settling at 701, 000 tons against 817, 000 tons in the same month last year, according to data compiled by Arif Habib Limited.

Engro Fertilizers was the only producer to grow in a shrinking market. The company's urea sales rose 18 percent year on year to 327, 000 tons, almost doubling from July, and pushed it past Fauji Fertilizer as the month's largest urea seller. Cotton Mills Start Losing Rs. 1 Crore Daily.

Combined offtake of FFC and FFBL fell 30 percent year on year to 226, 000 tons, Fatima Group slipped 20 percent to 140, 000 tons, and Agritech posted the steepest fall of all, down 78 percent to just 9, 000 tons.

Urea offtake for the first eight months of 2026 came in at 3.79 million tons, almost unchanged from the same period last year. Over that stretch the rankings reverse, with FFC's sales up 11 percent to 1.90 million tons while Engro's declined 12 percent to 1.03 million tons and Fatima edged up 3 percent to 681, 000 tons.

DAP followed a similar path in the month. Though it rose 32 percent over July, offtake fell 10 percent year on year to 123, 000 tons. While Engro more than doubled its DAP sales to 16, 000 tons and private imports fell 24 percent to 15, 000 tons, FFC and FFBL together sold 91, 000 tons, down 15 percent.

Eight month DAP offtake stood at 701, 000 tons, flat against last year, with private imports the notable mover, rising 22 percent to 122, 000 tons over the period. Stay Connected with ProPakistani.
