She earned her Ph.D. In Organic Chemistry from the University of Karachi under the supervision of renowned scientist Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary and afterwards progressed through different research and academic positions at ICCBS.

Prof. Siddiqui has published more than 70 research papers in international journals. She additionally holds a granted US patent and a number of local patents, and has authored a book and a number of book chapters.
