Kutiyattam festival to begin on August 19

The 17th edition of the Kutiyattam festival organised by Nepathya will begin on August 19.

The event will be held at Nepathya’s Koothambalam from August 19 to 24 and August 27 to September 3. According to a communication, this year’s event will feature the full presentation of two classical dramatic interpretations and feature the fifth Act of Bhasa’s Pratima Natakam and the third Act of Shakthbhadra’s Ascharyachudamani.

The inaugural ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday (August 19).
