For context, the BYD SEALION 6 represents a particularly significant step in this evolution, building on the global success of BYD's Super DM (Dual Mode) technology. It has surpassed 8.5 million vehicles sold worldwide. Powered by BYD's Super DM-I (Dual Mode – intelligence) platform, its latest-generation intelligent hybrid system, the SEALION 6 combines the benefits of electric driving with the flexibility of a plug-in hybrid, offering a total range of up to 1, 100 km. Designed to deliver an EV-led driving experience, Super DM-I intelligently manages electric and hybrid power to achieve solid fuel efficiency without compromising performance. The technology is designed to address the practical realities of everyday driving in Pakistan, providing efficient electric mobility while reducing range reservations on longer journeys.

Notably, the model's planned local assembly will commence from Q4 2026 and will mark an significant transition for BYD-MMC, from bringing global NEV innovation to Pakistan to establishing a local production footprint. As consumer demand expands from conventional vehicles towards a wider spectrum of electrified mobility solutions, it additionally reflects the broader evolution of Pakistan's automotive market.
