Introduced under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the programme connects eligible citizens with administration assistance through helpline 1000, the "Maryam Ko Batayn" mobile application and the official web portal. After which their eligibility is verified against the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) and other relevant welfare databases, applicants register using their CNIC.

Once approved, beneficiaries can collect the grant in cash from a designated JazzCash agent after CNIC and biometric verification. They do not need to open a bank account, visit a bank branch or travel to a central administration distribution point. With a vast JazzCash agents network throughout Punjab, the programme brings assistance within easier reach of communities, including those with limited access to traditional banking services.
