FGEHA Signs MoU for New 1,600-Kanal Housing Project

Notably, the Federal Administration Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a 1, 600-kanal housing project in Charsadda to provide residential facilities to federal administration employees.

In practice, the proposed project sits regarding six kilometers from the Charsadda Interchange on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway and around 15 minutes from Peshawar. It will have direct access from Charsadda-Nowshera Road and will sit adjacent to KPHA Mega City, Nowshera.

FGEHA will develop the project under the Land Sharing Model in accordance with the FGEHA (JV & PPP) Rules, 2025, through private-sector participation. The project will provide residential facilities to around 700 to 800 registered FGEHA members.

FGEHA Director General Zafar Iqbal remarked the authority was advancing housing projects through Public-Private Partnership and Land Sharing Models to provide quality and affordable residential facilities to federal administration employees.

He remarked FGEHA was additionally working to complete its ongoing housing projects and provide possession of plots to allottees within the targeted timelines.

Notably, the authority has set July 2027 as the target for handing over possession of plots in Margalla Orchard, Block-A. While possession in Sky Garden, Blocks-A, B and D, is targeted for December 31, 2026, it intends to provide possession in Sectors F-14/F-15 in phases.

FGEHA remarked it had already handed over possession of 80 plots ahead of schedule and was continuing development work throughout its ongoing projects. While the new Charsadda project moves forward under the land-sharing arrangement, the authority is at present focusing on Sectors F-14/F-15, Green Enclave-I and Lifestyle Residency Apartments in G-13, Islamabad.
