According to the briefing, authorities identified 21 development schemes with a combined estimated cost of more than Rs. 6.5229 billion, with 18 schemes already approved.

For context, the approved projects include nine schemes of the Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation (RMC) worth Rs. 1.6 billion and nine District Council schemes worth Rs. 4.8 billion. While the RMC and District Council will provide the required funds, the Punjab Highway Department will execute the road projects.
