Rawalpindi Finalizes Eid Miladun Nabi Arrangements, Bans Musical Instruments in Main Procession
Rawalpindi’s district administration and police have finalized arrangements for Eid Miladun Nabi (peace be upon him) and decided to prohibit musical instruments during the main procession. Authorities will also switch off sound systems during prayer times.
Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner retired Captain Nadeem Nasir and City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the Rabiul Awwal 12 processions.
The meeting focused on security, procession routes, traffic management, cleanliness, removal of encroachments, lighting, electricity and emergency services.
Nasir directed relevant departments to complete preparations on time and ensure basic facilities along procession routes. He also called on cooperation among the district administration, police, peace committees and religious scholars to maintain peace and religious harmony.
CPO Sukhera said police would provide foolproof security for the Rabiul Awwal 12 processions and highlighted the role of religious scholars in maintaining peace. While office-holders from relevant departments briefed the meeting on their preparations and security aims, representatives of Milad committees also shared suggestions to improve arrangements.
