Earlier, the suspect was arrested in connection with a case registered at Shalimar Police Station and was being interrogated by the robbery and dacoity unit of the capital police.
During interrogation, the suspect disclosed that he, along with his accomplices, kidnapped the four Chinese nationals from F-10/4 for ransom. After the kidnapping, the victims were shifted to Bangial area and detained at a dairy farm. The suspect further disclosed that bargaining was in progress over the ransom for the release of the Chinese nationals. The suspect additionally offered assistance in taking the police to the farm.
