According to Narayana, 93 major projects were under execution in Amaravati and a total of 119 projects were proposed, Letters of Award given for 103 projects, and four projects were completed. He was speaking in the Legislative Assembly.
A total of 71,299 returnable plots were allotted to 30,173 farmers who gave their lands under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS), he stated in reply to a question by MLAs Tenali Sravan Kumar and Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary on the status of infrastructure works.
The Minister said a financial tie-up of almost ₹41,188 crore has been secured from World Bank-ADB, HUDCO, NABARD and NaBFID and sum of ₹12,732 crore has been spent since 2024.
The 71,299 returnable plots given away to the farmers constituted 98% of the pooled land extent, and annuity of ₹2,249 crore has been paid from 2014 till date and various assurances given to the farmers were under implementation.
Comprehensive infrastructure was being developed under the LPS framework in a phased manner to ensure that the developed areas were supported by adequate trunk and utilities. The works include storm water drains, sewers, power and ICT and water supply.
Apart from these, multiple pre-engineered building and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) works were in various, Mr. Narayana added.
