Claiming that he and other villagers were injured in the attack, Dhanka remarked, "They insulted me and other villagers by abusing us with casteist words. There is tremendous anger among the villagers due to the incident."

Listing the injuries, the complaint remarked that volunteer Surendra alias Sanju Verma was brutally assaulted, leaving him with a fractured hand and a serious injury. Another volunteer, Salman, was surrounded and brutally beaten by a group, leaving him with serious injuries all over his body, it continued.
