BJP flags adverse effects of power cuts on households and industries in T.N.

Flagging the interruption in the supply of electricity and its impact on industries and households in Tamil Nadu, BJP State unit president Nainar Nagenthran on Monday urged Minister for Electricity R. Nirmalkumar to look into the issue and find a solution.

Referring to a newspaper report, Mr. Nagenthran said due to the low voltage, appliances in households in various parts of the State were affected and further criticised the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)-led administration’s alleged inability to address the issue even after the end of the higher seasonal demand during summer.

It has led to further financial burden on households, indicating the TVK-led government’s alleged “administrative failure” and highlighted its “lackadaisical attitude.” Industries in various parts of the State too were affected by this, Mr. Nagenthran added.
