A BRITISH shoe chain has kick started a enormous closing down sale ahead of shuttering 17 stores for good.
Shoppers have a chance to score huge discounts on trainers, heels and even kids shoes.
Wynsors World of Shoes is closing down a branch on Earle Street in Crewe.
A post shared on social media by staff shows that an ‘everything must go’ sale has been rolled out as they look to shift stock.
What happened
The affordable footwear brand first opened in the town in 2012.
The sale is understood to be running until the end of September when the branch will close, according to a report by Crewe.nub News.
Its Crewe branch is one of 17 stores set to shutter for good, following an announcement produced by the firm.
This includes branches in Leeds, Sheffield, Wakefield, Fleetwood, Burnley, Oldham, Salford, Bury, Rochdale, Hanley, Birkenhead, Bootle, Bacup, Bolton, Gateshead and Sunderland.
The details
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our customers who have shopped with us and backed the store over the years. Your support has meant so much to the whole team.”
Closing down sales have been launched throughout several the affected branches, giving shoppers one last chance to score a bargain.
That includes its branch in Hanley, where customers can enjoy discounts of up to 30% off.
Why it matters
If you don’t live near any of the sites, you can still shop discounts by visiting its online store.
The chain’s website is currently running a summer sale, with shoppers able to score a reduction of up to 50% on some items.
It comes as Modella, the owner of the chain, was said to be mulling rent and job cuts at the chain earlier this summer.
Background
There are no plans to close Wynsors online shop.
First opened in 1956, the chain currently trades from 47 stores throughout the UK.
