Meanwhile, the BJP has described the State government's decision to cancel the allotment of 1, 100 sites created by the Mysuru Development Authority (MDA) under the controversial 50: 50 ratio scheme as a "victory" for the party's sustained campaign against alleged irregularities in the Authority.
"It is a victory for our party's struggle, " BJP Mysuru City spokesperson M.A. Mohan remarked, recalling the party's campaign against the erstwhile Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). It began three years ago.
He additionally described the surrender of 14 sites allotted to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's wife, B.M. Parvathi, under the scheme as another "victory" for the BJP's campaign.
Mr. According to Mohan, as Ms. Parvathi's land in Kesare had been acquired by the erstwhile MUDA for the development of a residential layout in Devanur Third Stage, sites allotted to her in lieu of the acquired land should have been in the same layout. "Instead, sites were allotted to her in the more developed Vijayanagar layout, " he alleged.
Mr. Mohan alleged that the State administration was attempting to shield former MUDA Commissioner D.B. Natesh, who, he asserted, was responsible for allotting the sites to Ms. Parvathi.
"While another former MUDA Commissioner, Dinesh Kumar, was booked and subsequently arrested, no action has been taken against Mr. Natesh, " he alleged.
