Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Director General Praveer Ranjan completed a two-day official visit to major industrial assets in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. Mr. Ranjan checked security readiness and met with senior administrators to strengthen safety measures.

Focus on steel plant and port safety

During his tour of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Mr. Ranjan reviewed current defence systems. He spoke with Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) Chairman and Managing Director M.N.V.S. Prabhakar and senior executives about protecting vital plant assets.

At the Visakhapatnam Port, the CISF chief inspected key security posts, training methods, and daily guard routines. He met with Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) Chairman Jasmeet Singh Bindra and Deputy Chairperson Roshni Aparanji Korati to discuss smoother coordination between port staff and security guards.

Addressing the Combined Sainik Sammelan for all local CISF units, Mr. Ranjan urged officers to focus on modern security tools, strict discipline, and health maintenance.

He highlighted the growing role of women in the force, praising the first batch of women commandos trained at the CISF 10th Reserve Battalion. He also congratulated the CISF women’s team for their recent performances at the Commonwealth Games and Police Games.
