Ranka demanded the arrest of those involved within 48 hours and the withdrawal of the Education Department's order regulating outsiders' entry into administration schools, warning of an agitation demanding Education Minister Madan Dilawar's resignation.
Dilawar appealed to political organisations not to turn schools into "political arenas". While Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra held the BJP responsible, loP Tikaram Jully condemned the violence in the assembly.
