FIR registered over six-year-old boy's death at Visakhapatnam school

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam One-Town police on Friday registered an FIR in the death of six-year-old UKG student T Pranay Teja.

Around noon, the school management informed the family that the boy had collapsed while a teacher was reprimanding him for not completing his homework after the family trip. The school shifted him to King George Hospital (KGH), where doctors declared him dead.

Krishna described his son as a gentle and timid child who was easily frightened. After viewing the classroom CCTV footage, the family observed that the boy collapsed while the teacher was scolding him. The family requested the police to take action. "The exact cause of death will be established after the post-mortem and pathology reports are received, " police remarked. For context, the body was afterwards handed over to the family.
