Former Minister and CPI(M)'s Beypore MLA P.A. Mohamed Riyas has threatened legal action against reports which appeared in some sections of the media which alleged that the funds received by T. Veena, his wife and Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan's daughter, from Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd. (CMRL) was routed through his bank account to the accounts of a number of others.
