Harikrishna alleged that Sumanth questioned him regarding collecting capital using his name. When he denied the allegation, Sumanth allegedly abused him and hit him with an iron rod. After which they joined the assault, he further alleged that Sumanth instigated his associates to attack him.

Notably, the complainant asserted that he sustained a fracture to his left hand, bleeding injuries and other injuries and that he underwent surgery on August 10.

According to Jubilee Hills police, the case had been transferred from Medipally police station and remarked an investigation was underway.
