Nabers is still recovering from the torn ACL he suffered during Week 4 of the Giants' 2025 campaign. Nevertheless, he returned to participate in his first full-speed live drills earlier this week.
Giants head coach John Harbaugh remarked Nabers did not participate in Thursday's joint practice with the Dolphins as it's "not as controlled of an environment" as they want, via NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe.
Meanwhile, the Giants are hopeful that Nabers will be able to return to the field for their Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 13. Thursday's practice absence is consistent with the cautious mindset the team has adopted with Nabers' recovery process.
