Meanwhile, the ministry and the EDB conducted consultations with industry associations, manufacturers, investors, technology experts and other stakeholders during the policy formulation process. A number of meetings were held to collect recommendations, assess industry requirements and build consensus on the proposed measures.
Once approved, the EDB will be responsible for overseeing implementation, monitoring progress and periodically reviewing the policies. Targets covering domestic manufacturing, exports, technology transfer, employment generation and import substitution are still being evaluated.
