The Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) has given its final approval on monetising property worth Rs 13,500 crore, clearing the way for the National Land Monetisation Corp (NLMC) to take a clutch of high-value properties of MTNL, BSNL and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL) to the market, people aware of the development stated.

The programme will include 23 prime land parcels, commercial and residential complexes spread across concerning 200 acres in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa and Kolkata. While rest of it may spill over to the next financial year 2027-28, they remarked.

, officials went on that the Rs 13,500 crore figure is an estimated value and actual realisation may be higher.

NLMC has already initiated valuation exercises for the properties and aims to monetise Rs 7,500 crore by the end of this fiscal.
