According to Davis, cedillos-Campos siphoned gas from a motorcycle and filled the water bottle in a failed attempt to set her body on fire after stabbing her "repeatedly."

"The way that she was treated by this killer was reprehensible, " Davis remarked.

According to Davis, the 19-year-old has confessed to the killing and is cooperating with the investigation.

Cedillos-Campos was arrested by Border Patrol agents in April 2024 after he illegally crossed into the US near El Paso, Texas, during the Biden administration, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

He was taken into custody by Customs and Border Protection but afterwards issued.

"They recklessly unleashed millions of unvetted illegal aliens into American communities and abused the law to do so."

Puch's 3-year-old daughter is now being cared for by family after her mother's death, Anwari remarked.

Anwari remarked a GoFundMe account has been created to assist cover Puch's funeral costs and to ensure funds goes "to the daughter and make sure that she's OK."
