Polish cyclist Sławomir Strzelczyk has completed a 1,390-kilometer bicycle journey from Islamabad to Khunjerab Pass, travelling through some of Pakistan’s most scenic mountain regions and historic locations.
The expedition was organized to highlight the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Poland while promoting tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.

The ambassador congratulated the cyclist and praised the expedition for showcasing Pakistan’s tourism potential and strengthening people-to-people ties.
The Pakistan-Poland Friendship Cycle Expedition 2026 began at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad on July 26. Strzelczyk travelled through Abbottabad, Besham, Chilas, Gilgit, Hunza, Gulmit, Passu and Sost before reaching Khunjerab Pass.
The route took the cyclist through the Karakoram’s dramatic mountain landscapes, valleys and communities, offering a close look at Pakistan’s cultural diversity and local hospitality.
