For context, the military's media affairs wing remarked on Monday that Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, along with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, had departed for Iran "as part of Pakistan's efforts to promote regional peace and stability".

In an official note, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) remarked CDF Munir will "focus on promoting efforts towards peaceful, lasting and comprehensive resolution of the conflict in the Middle East".
