Expressing concern over the missing of the fishing boat with eight fishermen hailing from Odalarevu, Dummalapeta and Vasalatippa villages of Allavaram mandal in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy urged the administration to intensify search operations and use all available resources to bring the fishermen back safely.

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the families of fishermen were deeply worried as there had been no information from them for a number of days. He urged the administration to conduct search operations on a war-footing to trace the missing fishermen and their boat.

He appealed to the government to involve the Coast Guard, the Navy, the Fisheries Department, and the district administration in the search operation. He said all available technology and communication systems at sea should be employed to expand the search.

He also called on cooperation of fishing boats and other vessels operating along the coast, including in the areas of Kakinada, Visakhapatnam and Paradip.
