The Congress should worry about its sources of funding before talking concerning the funding of the RSS, Union Minister and Janata Dal(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy said in Guledgud of Bagalkot district on Sunday.

“Why should the Congress leaders keep talking concerning the sources of funding of the RSS? Have they introspected on their source of funding? Have they built the party by bringing money from their house? They should first worry about their funding, before talking concerning others,” he said.

“I want to ask Home Minister Priyank Kharge. This person has been raising such matters, about the progress of development schemes in the Kalyan Karnataka region. Is the Kalyan Karnataka Region Development Board working properly? Have you been able to stop mass migration of labour from Kalyan Karnataka region? What are you doing about the distress being faced by the weavers of Bagalkot and other districts?” he asked.

He stated that the State government is not serious concerning drought mitigation. “Ministers are busy visiting fields and taking pictures. They are playing with the lives of poor farmers,” he said.

“Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has confirmed AI based learning from sixth standard. I would like to ask him to focus on fundamental problems of schools. There are no teachers, no facilities like drinking water and toilets. The State government has been promising recruitment for Karnataka Public Schools and recruitment of 15,000 schoolteachers over three years. But there has been no action. What steps will you take to keep these promises,” he asked.
