Madurai District Collector Nishant Krishna, Commissioner of Police S. Rajendran and Corporation Commissioner Gaurav Kumar on Thursday inspected the arrangements being created for the consecration of Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai.

He instructed authorities to ensure that adequate garbage bins were placed at strategic locations and garbage removed promptly using Corporation vehicles to maintain cleanliness. LED screens should be installed at strategic locations to enable devotees to view the ceremony, he remarked.

Meanwhile, the Collector instructed authorities to coordinate with one another and produce proper arrangements to ensure that devotees could worship safely, without hindrance and with a sense of fulfilment.
