Meanwhile, the BYD Karachi Marathon, Pakistan's first World Athletics-Certified marathon, brings together local and international runners while providing Pakistani athletes with a platform to compete against globally recognized standards. Through its Vision 2032, the marathon additionally seeks to establish a pathway for Pakistani runners to qualify for major international marathons and, ultimately, the Olympic Games. Through She Runs, MMC will fund a structured 10-week marathon training programme for 10 selected women from Karachi. Participants will receive backing throughout endurance training, nutrition, physiotherapy, safety and well-being, providing them with the preparation and resources needed to take on the race.
