Memon remarked the flyover represents an notable component of the Red Line project. He remarked authorities would complete the required protocols before opening the flyover to the public within two days of the inauguration.

He remarked construction contracts initially covered a two-year period, but rising inflation climbed the costs of materials and other inputs during the project. He cited increases in the dollar, cement rates and petrol costs as major challenges.

Despite the rising costs, Memon remarked the administration continued work on the project and resolved related matters through agreements and consultations with relevant institutions.
