In practice, the authority has fixed the minimum pay for outsourced staff at Rs40, 700, with the new wage structure applicable from July 1 after the federal government's wage growth of Rs3, 700.

PAA has directed outsourced contractors to ensure the revised salary is paid to all concerned employees.

All outsourced workers, including security personnel, will now receive a monthly salary of Rs40, 700.

Notably, the new wage will be mandatory for all existing and extended outsourcing agreements.

Contractors have additionally been instructed to ensure EOBI and social security payments are produced for the employees.

Deputy Director General of the Airports Authority Sadiq Rehman has been appointed as the head of the joint committee. It will finalise the location for the temporary headquarters.

While the PAA has been informed to complete its transfer by December, the CAA has been directed to shift to the temporary headquarters by November.
