Remittances additionally climbed 1 percent from $3.63 billion in July. The latest inflows took total remittances during the first two months of fiscal year 2027 to $7.29 billion, up 15 percent from $6.35 billion in the same period last year.

Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances in August, contributing $873 million, up 19 percent from a year earlier.
