Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Joint Managing Director (JMD) M. Siva Prasad on Wednesday conducted an extensive review of the corporation's operations and inspected key facilities in Vijayawada, emphasising the need to improve service quality and passenger satisfaction.

Emphasising a passenger-centric approach, Mr. According to Siva Prasad, passenger convenience, safety and satisfaction must remain APSRTC's highest priorities.

At the RTC House, the JMD reviewed the functioning of the mechanical engineering and commercial departments. Authorities presented details on departmental performance, ongoing activities, revenue generation, maintenance operations and progress achieved.

Mr. Siva Prasad stressed the importance of bus maintenance, improved vehicle availability, efficient employ of resources, expenditure control and revenue enhancement. He directed authorities to work in coordination, promptly address field-level matters and strive collectively to achieve the corporation's objectives.

Afterwards, he visited Vijayawada depot to gain first-hand knowledge of operational activities. He planted a sapling on the depot premises. He reviewed fuel storage and consumption arrangements, inspected maintenance facilities and examined operations in the storeroom, tyre section and bus maintenance areas.

Meanwhile, the JMD interacted with drivers and conductors, enquiring regarding their daily operations, collections, targets and incentive systems. He commended employees for their dedication and hard work.

As part of his field visit, the JMD inspected Vijayawada City Bus Station, Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) and reviewed bus arrivals and departures, passenger movement, platform maintenance and the availability of essential amenities. He additionally inspected drinking water facilities, seating arrangements and passenger information systems.

At the cargo services wing, the JMD enquired regarding booking and delivery operations and interacted with staff regarding daily functioning.
