A major Paytm block deal could put near-term pressure on shares as Resilient Asset Management seeks to sell almost 5% stake worth Rs 4,895 crore.
Resilient Asset Management BV is due to sell shares worth up to Rs 4,895 crore in One 97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm, through a bulk or block agreement on Tuesday. The seller has offered a base deal of up to 19.2 million shares, representing concerning 3% of Paytm’s existing total share capital. At the floor price of Rs 1,535.10 per share, the base offer is valued at around Rs 2,949 crore.

The agreement also has an upsize option of up to 12.7 million shares, or concerning 1.98% of the company’s equity. If the upsize option is exercised, it could add another Rs 1,946 crore to the transaction.
