Pondicherry University introduces MBA in Hospitality Management

Pondicherry University has introduced a new MBA course in Hospitality Management.

The University in a release said the course offered at the Department of Tourism Studies in the School of Management was a significant step towards expanding academic activity on the campus.

Inaugurating the course on Monday, the University Vice-Chancellor, P. Prakash Babu, said the programme was rolled out considering its importance in the job market. The course would be offered on other campuses of the university also, the release stated.

Speakers at the inaugural event, including Deputy General Manager of Pondicherry Tourism Development Corporation Asha Gupta and Senior General Manager of Raddison Resort Pondicherry Bay, Uma Maheswari, have stressed on the need for strengthening industry-academic collaboration and preparing the students for the evolving hospitality sector, the release said.
