Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the expansion of the province's electric bus service to the tehsil level, with operations scheduled to commence in January 2027.

According to the administration, 612 electric buses are already fully operational in different districts and are benefiting millions of residents each day.

Another 192 buses in Multan and other districts are projected to become operational within the next few days.
