The Punjab government aims to complete ongoing development, expansion, renovation and beautification projects at the historic shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri (RA), popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, before the saint’s next Urs.
Punjab Auqaf Department Secretary Dr. Ehsan Bhutta announced the plan during a detailed inspection of development projects at Data Darbar and surrounding areas. He reviewed the progress and quality of the work and directed officials to speed up construction while maintaining high standards.
Bhutta, who also serves as the chief administrator of Auqaf in Punjab, stated the provincial government was using all available resources to transform Data Darbar into a modern shrine with better facilities for devotees.
He said the administration would improve arrangements for visitors, including movement, cleanliness, security and parking. He also stressed the need to complete all projects on time and maintain quality, particularly ahead of the annual Urs. It attracts substantial numbers of devotees from across Pakistan and abroad.
Officials from NESPAK, TEPA, the Communication and Works Department and the Auqaf Department accompanied Bhutta during the inspection. The delegation also placed a chadar on the saint’s grave and offered Fateha.
