The renovated Butterfly Park at Arignar Anna Zoological Park (AAZP), Vandalur, has reopened with improved infrastructure, naturalistic features, and interactive facilities for visitors, an official release said.
One of the zoo’s popular attractions, the Butterfly Park is located near Otteri Lake and spread throughout 2.7 hectares. While providing a suitable environment for butterflies to thrive, it has been designed to support the complete life cycle of butterflies, with dedicated host and nectar gardens that provide plants for breeding, feeding, and habitat enrichment.
The release stated that the renovation has focused on enhancing the naturalistic setting and visitor experience. The park also features an indoor enclosure that allows visitors to observe butterflies at close quarters.
