Security forces, in joint intelligence-based operations with police, have killed 49 terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan over the past few days, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) remarked on Friday.
According to the military's media wing, the operations were conducted as part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign targeting terrorist networks and what it described as Indian- elements, including Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.
Meanwhile, a sizeable quantity of explosives, IED detonating devices, weapons, ammunition and motorcycles were additionally recovered and destroyed during the operations, ISPR noted.
Security forces additionally seized and destroyed a significant quantity of weapons, explosive drums and remote detonation equipment during the operations.
ISPR remarked sanitisation operations were underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the areas, adding that security forces and law enforcement agencies remained committed to eliminating the threat of foreign- terrorism.
