Due to resumption of rainfall in parts of Maharashtra, water discharge from its reservoirs rose slightly on Tuesday.
The total water discharge from the Krishna and its tributaries in Maharashtra was 52,530 cusecs. This is 1,875 cusecs more than the release on Monday.
The inflow at the Lal Bahadur Shastri reservoir on the Krishna in Almatti remained steady at 30,000 cusecs.
The dam has 104 tmcft of live storage against the full capacity of 123 tmcft. On Tuesday evening, the inflow was 30,243 cusecs and outflow 24,155 cusecs.
The Raja Lakhamagouda dam on the Ghataprabha has 48.9 tmcft of water against the full capacity of 51 tmcft. Inflow was 8,731 cusecs and outflow 7,445 cusecs.
The Renuka Sagar dam on the Malaprabha has 18.5 tmcft of water against the full capacity of 37.73 tmcft. Inflow was 2,567 cusecs and outflow 1,644 cusecs.
