The Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TAHDCO) is due to allot industrial sheds at the Ingur industrial estate in the district to Adi Dravidar and tribal entrepreneurs on lease and rental basis.
A release from Collector S. Kandasamy said infrastructure development works are under way at the industrial estates. As part of the first phase, modern Plug-and-Play industrial sheds, measuring 50,000 sq. ft., are being established at Ingur. The scheme is aimed at facilitating entrepreneurship among Adi Dravidar and tribal communities. Vacant plots and Plug-and-Play sheds will be offered to micro, small and large entrepreneurs on rental or lease basis, depending on their requirements. Long-term lease and rental options will also be available. Eligible Adi Dravidar and tribal entrepreneurs have been asked to register through the TAHDCO website to avail themselves of the facility.
