Against the backdrop of a series of Gen Alpha protests over the alleged lack of infrastructure and teaching staff in Uttar Pradesh and the Education Department issuing a 14-point checklist for almost 40, 000 basic and secondary schools throughout the State, the Opposition parties on Friday (August 21, 2026) remarked comprehensive reforms and an overhaul of the current system is needed to satisfy the demands of students and alleged the administration is indulging in eyewash.
