Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) will open a ‘Reverse Engineering and AICTE IDEA Lab’ at the Jnana Sangama campus in Belagavi.

T.G. Sitaram, former chairperson of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), will inaugurate the centres on August 19 at 10 a.m. in the presence of VTU Vice-Chancellor S. Vidyashankar and VTU Executive Council Member V. Keshava Murthy.

The Reverse Engineering and AICTE IDEA Lab Centre of Excellence has been established by ‘iValue’, AICTE and VTU. The objective is to provide practical training to students.

The centre will include 3D printing machines, designing facilities and new technologies. Students from all branches of engineering can make apply of the facilities available at the lab. Students can use the lab to provide a concrete form to their ideas.
